With the cheap RAM these days just upgrade to 4gigs or more and turn off that damn pagefile. Winholes works much better and faster without one...

locating all temp files on a ram drive, and all other essential profile and OS bits on a PCIe Raid card would
1/help cut down on page file and swapfile fragmentation, by not having 160,000 useless IE files in temp
2/extending the imited writes of SSD by locating constantly changing files in RAM, no power, no shite
3/ even better, get sUPER DUPER 'Ultee RAM DISK SSD COMBO+1 smaller drive, AND locate swap file there on small
3/anyhting that raids ssd's is ultee tastic

sOMEONE SHOULD SELL ssd with Mainboard combo, just to get numbers right. how about main that takes delete files & items gone with cleaning to HDD, Also unused files that are of no use in most normal useage. keep empty files so you can insert empty file when asked. have SSD Sata primary non volitile memory & sata II HDD for more & More. maybe 2 primary or four+, yet MADNESS Would R.A.I.D. 5 SSD like that, if its even possible. Yet you Buy Level, one two or five primary SSD Sata II, Then bunch O' reg sata hdd, maybe skip their raid entirely, more cabnet of workhouse than Brains Themselves. They appear to the system as a SATA disk controler. If they've got enough of a BIOS to appear at boot time, plus you can install a suitable driver in your OS, then you can boot off of them.

Still can't boot from them. Cool, expensive, but useless to boot from. I'd think they would make better use as sql drives... or web servers where they can be re-imaged at the drop of a hat..
