How many Linux-For-Mobile consortiums have there been in the last 5 years? Too many, it doesn't cut it and to make it capable of running a phone is difficult, even WindRiver themselves said it's too hard for most companies. Android... yet to be truly tested IMO.

Isn't Linux the base OS for Android? That seems like a good enough platform.
