The Quadro FX 5800 4GB is not 32bit os compatable unless you are using PAE. Windows 32bit can only address 4GB of memory this includes Ram, video memory, and a few other things. So with the Quadro FX 5800 4GB there wouldn't be enough address space to use it. Some 32bit Server os's have PAE. It allows you to address 36bits in stead of 32bits allowing you to address up to 64GB depending on the OS. Wiki has all the details on it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension
I wonder if I install Quadro FX 5800 4 GB mem on 32 bit Vista / XP / Linux. And I have 4 GB memory too. What sum of total memory VGA + PC that is available to use?
The 4800 and 5800 have been out for a while, but the others are new.
Looks like they also announced the 3800, with very similar specs to the 4800.

So they released a product with the same name as another product that has nothing to do with the new product. Brilliant.
