the machines costs around 800K Dollars

Still has to make it past the wife...

While the storage capacity, redundancy, and speed are sufficient for the average home, you still have to consider if it will pass SAF certification. (Spouse Acceptance Factor) With this in mind could you return to the IBM booth and ask if it comes any any other colors? Or if IBM offers upgrades to swap out some of the individual servers for shoe storage drawers?

dell has a similar solution with their equallogic storoge, doesn't have FC like IBM does though:)

HS12?? no.

The HS12 is a single socket blade that has been around for over a year. It takes socket 775 processors, so is not compatible with Nehalem processors. It's currently available at the IBM website.

HS22.. well... I'm not allowed to talk about that...
