The technique looks very useful at returning things to their original colours; however I would advise caution before you go dunking all your kit.
I think there is at least a possibility that this treatment might damage the plastic long term. I say it's better to have slightly yellow now, than completely crumbled next month.
Of course it's possible that I'm just being too cautious ;)
