I live in Toronto, and use Rogers. I got my new Bold on December 22nd. I haven't had a problem with it and except for the 2 day battery life, it is so much better than any other phone I tried out. However, after reading this, I plugged it in, waited an hour, and have to say the keyboard does get a bit warmer, but nothing that would make me want to return it...I just leave it face up, and let it charge.
I have a BB 9000 with ATT here in America. people over at the Crackberry.com forums have notice slight overheating when upgrading to "unreleased" OS's. When I got the BB it was just peachy. I then decided to get the beta OS since it actually overclocks the CPU a bit. I like the new OS, it loads my pictures in a flash. :)

I traded my Curve for the Bold a few weeks ago.
The Bold is much heavier on the juice - rarely lasts me a day whereas the Curve would often last two days.
Funny ... it's cpu is twice as powerful ... very responsive.
It does get hot when recharging or when on a long call.
I like it.

Just like the Large Hadron Collider "It's going to do things we haven't even thought of yet, but it's completely safe."
...but it definitely doesn't affect other countries.
Honest.
