mainly out of curiosity, I want a M$ retail store. I am currently running windows 7 beta and I have to say it is like nothing I have used before. It looks nice and is very stable. Nothing has crashed yet, no UAC messages, but I turned those off in vista anyway. What I am wondering is how Microsoft will open a store and what is going to be sold in it. I don't think that they would be selling just software. maybe they will start making their own laptops and PC's, or would they sell brand name computers like dells, HP, ect. They did make their own MP3 player, so I don't think they are far off from making other products. Then again, apple started off making hardware and software....voleware?
You'd only hang out on a Microsoft shop if you were returning an unstaisfactory product, surely? Chances are that you'd never actually make it past the queue of Vista users grumpily queueing for their refund. Later to be replaced by the queue of grumpy Win7 users who'd overwritten their crappy Vista systems and now wanted help.
What kind of saddo would you have to be to hang out in a Microsoft shop?
You can almost imagine the wall of body odour, tooth decay, and stale beer, that would hit you as you went in the front door. Apple enthusiasts might be unpleasant, but at least they're hygenic.
