They are probably referring to a Pentium 4 3.2Ghz, not any of the Core 2 varieties.

So if these new chips are less than 3.1GHz are they going to struggle to play games? I doubt it, but THQ is saying Dawn of War II will need 3.1 GHz cpu minimum. I want at least 3.5 GHz quad core before I leave my 2.5GHz dual core, otherwise it's a waste of money imo.

We might even see some stock 4GHz parts soon.
