Didn't Mythbusters bust the "Brown Note"?

I thought the Mythbusters on Discovery Channel busted the "Brown Note" myth. I could be wrong.

Hmmm...

If low frequency sounds are alluring, why aren't baked beans an aphrodisiac?

Erm ... sure

Frequency response of a telephone is 300Hz to 3.4KHz - no opportunity to transmit ultrasound or infrasound to the object of your affection.

D'oh!

I didn't know Barry White had that sort of vocal range. I think you mean infrasound, except that wouldn't make it down a phone line.

What utter tosh

First the article talks about ultrasound, which is audio frequencies above our ears' ability to hear.

Then it refers to low frequency waves.

Make your mind up! In any case, infrasound (frequencies below our range of hearing) is more known for causing involuntary bowel movements than heart flutters.
