VirtualBox worked from the get-go.

Virtualbox did it out of the box as soon as windoze 7 came out. No hassles, just worked. And for free.

Also works on Parallels Desktop 3.0

Windows 7 is a bit tricky to get installed on Parallels Desktop 3.0, but the full process is documented in Parallels Forums. I know, because I helped document it. And I'm using it regularly myself.
