I know it's a little off-topic, but Catholicism ISN'T Christianity. For one thing Jesus is King and offers the Holy Spirit and other believers for counselling. Praying to Saints for help is idolatry, since you're placing your faith in someone other than Jesus. The First Commandment is Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and strength and serve Him only.

And that's not all, let's examine this idea of confession. Priests are supposed to be a "substitute" for Christ. But Christ doesn't need a substitute. He tells us that we should consider Him to be sufficient for our needs. We don't need to confess our sins to a priest. And if you DO feel the need to confess your sins, don't feel like you need to restrict it to the dudes in the robes. If your gym teacher/father/friend/grocer is the most important person in your life, then maybe you should choose to confess to them.

Let's forget all this Catholic crap and try to focus on actual Christianity. We'll leave the Mormons and Catholics and whatever else to dig their own grave. For me and mine, I will choose the Lord.

So instead of yelling at the world "we told you so, greedy assholes", these catholic idiots actually support them, offering a 'spiritual comfort'. This reminds me of a catholic priest in the TV recently who said that the aim of every believer is to get into paradise after death, to have everlasting life. NO IDIOT it's not that. It's "thy kingdom come", not "giveth me ethernal life". The aim of all believers in God (be it muslim, christian, jewish, etc.) should be God's will here on Earth and his Kingdom manifesting through humanity and good will of believers. NOT PERSONAL SALVATION, THAT IS BS.

Enlightenment comes with knowledge. Knowledge is power. Power to actually make an actual difference in the real world. The science that studies knowledge is called Epistemology. According to this science, there is 3 ways to acquire knowledge. Scholasticism, Rationalism, and Empiricism. Now take 10-15 minutes of your precious time and google those 4 terms. Then you will understand my firm opposition to anything else than empirical reasoning. St Matthew to the rescue... What a joke...

What a better time to cash in on some political and ''spiritual'' capital on the back of fear of the hard time ahead of us? And what is the clergy ''pratical'' solution?? Payers and faith, of course!! That's it, St Matthew will solve all our problems, just like magic! ''Our'' is of course being defined and limited only to believers. The rest of us that rely on empirical reasoning can obviously fry in hell. Atheism or at least agnosticism look even more attractive when subjected to such mythological nonsense.
