Why are most of the Nokia music phones constructed like a really cheap toy? Their other lines of phones are mostly OK. The 5310 made it look like they'd got their act together with the music phones. With the 5800 they seem to have regressed to the period of the nasty white models they started with. Several people I know who got these over the last few weeks have dumped them.
The 5800's UI is a massive improvement on older Symbian phones, and the phone has many nice qualities. "Casing by Mattel" doesn't really cut it, though.
I think you'll find that the 7710 was Nokia's first touchscreen phone back in 2004. What an awesome phone that was.

I'm not sure I get from the review what makes the Home screen so special and revolutionary. It sounds just like what the iPhone has as standard.
so it is now a scientific fact that no one can possibly design a touch phone that doesnt look like iphone?
