Vista's a dog no matter how much ram you give it. I went to 8GB on the 64bit edition and it was still crap. Swapped to 64bit Ubuntu before christmas and haven't looked back. System never uses more that 2GB ram so it automatically uses the other 6GB as a hard drive cache which makes performace scream along.

80GB Ram?

I bet Windows MeII still runs like a dog.
