No, I got one, it's not possible to playback hi-def video because that the only expansion is pci. So you need to fin a really expensive and slow pci sparkle brand card(geforce 8400). They are the only brand and quantities are scarse. Next version Kpc should have either integrated hdcp capable igp or low-profile pciexpress capabilities.
As a matter of fact, i have a first gen KPC running as my media server now. I have it running Vista64 (the only way to truly run Vista) and it sits in the closet. I use it to stream movies to my 360. the best part is that there is no noticeable increase in my electric bill. If shuttle makes one that will accept my penryn (i haven't looked) and allows for pci express for my hd 4670, then i have my bedroom media center right there. All i can say is that i have built several shuttle boxes in the past and they are definitely the only brand in that market worth the time.

It was playback I was asking about, not streaming. Any old box can do streaming.
