The situation is not that bad

You can mention Tibet here, in fact it is mentioned often. It is just that all the perspective are from the Government's side.
The filter is nowhere near as bad or impeccable as you may have been informed. There are still uncensored sites out there that can be visited, for now.

Is TheInquirer blocked in China?
Does any site with the word Tibet get auto blocked?
Do Chinese people go to prison if they read something banned? or just get re-educated?
