this sort of thing will never come to an end when people in power own stock or businesses.some times i swear some amendments should be rewritten for these people.how about making it illegal to accept,transfer,and use money when dealing with public funds that are not with in a untraceable manner.constant monitoring and online listing to the public of ware the cash go.how can it be illegal for the tax payers to watch how exactly their money is spent right?

private industry behaved like this we'd be having huge bailouts of banks and collapsing industries round the world. . .

If...

.. private industry managed their finances like this, the government would be looking to lock them up.

LCD TV's, surround systems, iPods.. all being bought for public use then disappearing immediately while never having to account for their use or that they ever even existed is bound to be abused.
It's about time the items and buildings that are purchased using taxpayers money to support MPs remained the property of the state when the MP leaves office.
