Wily Ferret writes "There's not even a rumour of a Linux version of Chrome"... funny, it was mentioned in the very first materials I read about Chrome (from Google themselves). Also, according to Internet Rumor Site http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/linux.html , "Google Chrome for Linux is in development and a team of engineers is working hard to bring it to you as soon as possible." But what would they know?
Linux? Which corporation in their right mind would spend money developing for an OS whose user base think everything is free and shareable, but more important, just 1% of the market?
Perhaps after a long time they will, if only to not deal with the cries of open source children everywhere.
"no date for a Mac version has been given. There's not even a rumour of a Linux version of Chrome either, which is passing strange because Google's zillions of networked systems run Linux."
No Mac version and no Linux version, where IE is either woefully outdated or not (publicly) available?

How about you wait like a year or so, and see how retarded that statement seems when google have released their own OS, based on Linux???

I can tell you with absolute certainty that a linux version is in the works.
I've been using Chrome since its release. I'm a big fan of Its simplicity and speed.
If they released a browser based browser that you could run in a browser based OS... oh... hang on...

Well fancy that!
I sure hope the add-ons and extensions plugins can now be added and created for Chrome with the new polished version soon-to-be-released.
Otherwise, I'll stick with my Firefox with the Chrome Skin for now, Thank you very much.
