They have this scam tax in other parts of Europe too.

It's just a scam tax. There are many high value materials inside a computer case. They should be paying us for taking it!

At present we can either throw it into our bins, which we pay a large amount in local taxes for anyway. Or we can sell them on Ebay!

Tommy, maybe it's Norway that is selling pallets of old pc's on Ebay?

We already have this!

In Norway we pay a fee (ca £10) for every computer we buy. Then all our electrical goods, computers, owens - you name it can be dispatched from any store to recycling. If they sell it, they are obligated to take it back as well. The store also gets money for dropping it off by the recycler. Maybe this is something you could implement in the UK.
