Gee whiz. Aren't teachers people too? How ridiculous. It just sounds like a case of Big Brother putting his nose where it doesn't belong. As long as the teacher isn't adding students as friends on their page and buying them alcohol and illicit drugs, having them over to their houses for parties, or engaging in sexual activity with their students I don't really see where the harm is in that individual having their own page where they can go to vent to their friends about their crappy job. Pretty normal stuff. However, they should make it private since they do have a job that's very much in the public eye and because people are too nosy to mind their own business.

This makes me so angry. Of course teachers hate their pupils. You know, just forcing them not to say it is only going to make teaching LESS enjoyable than it already is. Teaching IS a noble profession, because you have to deal with a raving mob every day without turning into a dictator and most teachers manage it and the reason they do is because they're honest and reasonable people, not lying hypocrites like the businessmen who think 'smiling at the customer' and selling people rubbish and lying is what life's about. Maybe they could've been smarter and kept their complaints strictly teacher-to-teacher, but so what if they didn't.

To be a "Good Teacher" you must: be highly qualified; be a charismatic and inspirational leader; be a workaholic; conform to a moral and behavioral code that would shame Mother Teresa; be devoid of any human failings; be able to sit passively while being lectured to by abusive parents, who can't believe their little "angel" would cheat, steal, smoke, fight etc. But most of all, you should be prepared to be paid less than a person with similar academic qualifications. So why not do something else? They are. Teachers are leaving the profession in droves. Unfortunately it is usually the highly qualified and experienced teachers that leave. So what can we do? Stop complaining and take responsibility, become a TEACHER. The holidays are great!

Teachers are people too. Just because they are teaching your munchkins math doesn't mean we shouldn't allow them to make fools of themselves on the internet.

suspended with pay? Who is the right mind would suspend a teacher with pay? This is supposed to be a disciplinary action not a vacation. This has clearly defibrillated the meaning behind punishment. Punishment is punishment not vacation, unless specified otherwise.

Apart from the fact that this is internet, you know it is acceptable to say niggas since it does not have the same connotations as nigger, and even that word you can say if you are discussing things with adults about the use of it.
In short, grow up already and stop catering to misplaced american style censorship.


Teachers are just people and teaching is just a job, If you complain about your job to the world, then there's good reason to let you go. But a teacher's job is to teach and NOTHING more. Inspiring and being a good role model is only icing on the cake. Why should I live my life bored to tears, in fear and restricted, to benefit the appearance of my workplace? If "drinking" and "Chillin wit my n---as" are what u like to do, then do it! Your students may even relate to you more, open up, pay more attention, and learn more in class. Otherwise, you're nothing but a slave.

So now employees can be punished for saying negative things about their jobs when they are not even *at* work? My job isn't always laughs and good times: I bet yours isn't either. Who doesn't say they don't like their job or their co-workers when they're having a bad day (or week...)? This is no different than being caught bad-mouthing your boss when he happens to be sitting behind you at the pub... you get a bit red-faced, apologize (for being overheard) and move on. No one should get fired for having a candid moment when you're not even at the office.

What gets me is that nobody told these people they had to be teachers, and nobody is forcing them to teach in that school. If they don't like what they do, they are free to do something else. But to just sit there and whine? What a useless bunch of parasitical scum. Fire 'em all.

My sympathies lie with the students who have to put up with these degenerate skanks.
