Mr.

This wont go anywhere. DRM will kill any hope of a digital multimedia home that is worth anything.

DRM+Home media network= 100% FAIL

Speaking as someone who has spent a great deal of $$$ on structured wiring for my home. Everything would work much better if I didn;t have to STRIP ALL THE DRM out of every damn thing I watch or use.

I'm no thief, I'm not uploading anything or selling anything, I just "placeshift", A LOT.

I have 32 1Gb CAT-5 runs running to various rooms in my house running things like Slingbox, Orb, Windows Media Center, Snapstream Servers, X10 appliances, IDEAON controllers, Security cameras.

Basically whatever I'm interested in playing with that night.

My point, the "home media network" is USELESS with all the DRM the content owners are pushing at us users.

Whats worse, its just a irritant. I can nix any DRM in about 5 min time.

Do you think the move was justified?
