There seems to be plenty of water in World of Warcraft, fairly realistic, bubbles, splashes. Some of the content requires you to fight underwater, lot of critters live there. Wow also has weather effects; rain duststorms etc. Try it, can be very addictive.
Bravo, AMD, there are Drivers awaiting City Type Chips for Virtually Banked Financial Trading. A Safety Net for the Bungled Federal Reserve System of Wealth Sharing.

Space Time Communications Carve Up if you would rather the Mob IDeum/IDea.

But All IT Really is, is Virtual Business in Trading Global Operating Devices for Virtualised Systems of Natural Resource Management/Live Feeds.

And Teutonic Feeds are an Avid Control to Tease and Please with the Power in the Surrender of Control .... to Higher Unspecified Orders of Our Beings.

And I mean that most sincerely, Folks.
If they ever get this powerful enough to provide some massive scale fluid dynamics, I'd love to see something like BioShock re-worked to use some real water.

The drowning nightmares can come later..
don't get overexcited, as this is just a demo. as far as I remember two or three years ago I've seen a demo from ATI with realistic rain representation. never seen those elements implemented in any real games so far, though...

AMD Stock Goes UP 50% in August'8.
Liquid Metal is area that reappears everytime some fundumental power change is in foot. Lets face it, if it cann't do that, why listen?

Another fluid, called MONEY just took significant Upswing in AMD Stock.

Guarenteed STOLEN from Mike Magee:

Chip firm AMD's share price currently stands at $6.18, up during the day, and there's plenty of reasons for that.

Firstly, it is going to pip Intel at the post - and Nvidia for that matter - with a combined CPU, GPU out in Q4. It's sampling those thingies very soon.
Secondly, we hear that Shanghai is very very good indeed.

Thirdly it's getting rid of units that don't matter and Dirk Meyer, the charismatic CEO, is beginning to get back into DEC Alpha mode.

Fourthly. Oh, there is no fourthly - three are good enough, unless they are triple cores, of course. Eva Glass tells me the share price has further to go, but that's probably because she's jealous of Cher Price. X

The PC game title "Aliens versus Predator" had in some levels examples of fluid physics though at the time this technology has a very limited use. For example, you could walk around in a small body of water containing floating debris, and the water surface would deform, realistically pushing the debris around on multiple wave-fronts (think about how twigs and leaves bob around on a lake and you'll understand the effect). This game was released in 1999 and could easily run on nVidia Riva TNT graphics.
The Ink has more than one winsome lass reporting/writing for it. Sylvie Barak reported on NVision. Can we consider this lovely to be our new "Gaming Lass"?
Here's a link to the demo - choose your options carefully and you can avoid downloading Nvidia's 'me-too' download manager.

This is something i've been waiting for since Battlefield 1942 was first introduced. I've said it for years now in the forums and during matches that what the battlefield games sorely lacked was realistic water effects. Hopefully the next itteration of the battlefield game will include realistic water and operable battleships and submarines. I sure miss the naval aspect as do many others. Thanks and see you out there, Loki Sunrider

Dear Lord, a female journalist at The Inq? And writing about gaming no less. I ,for one, certainly hope its not Nick in a wig.
I'm not sure what Nvidia is talking about. I've been drowning Sims for years.
I couldn't find the demo on Nvidia's site. Would you mind posting a link to download this new "water" demo.

Thanks.
