There is a mobile phone with a TV tuner built in?!!?

Wow, now that's the kind of news I wanted to hear.

TV Tuner doesn't work in the uk

Apparently the N96 tuner doesn't work with freeview as it's DVB-H and freeview is DVB-T. So I guess it's nokia's attempt to sell the N96 over here when actually it's a waste of money as the 'killer' feature doesn't work.

Better off buying an N95.

Symbian S60 & Windows Mobile

I wish BBC should make the iplayer, mobile handset & handset manufacturer neutral , so it works on all hansets using a particular mobile operating system & recommended technical specifications. N96 is yet to be released in uk while Samsung Omnia & Innov8 i8510 8mp 16gb are already on sale. BBC should not use our licence to favour one manufacturer over the over.

Kind of ironic...

...given that the N96 has a TV tuner... I don't know why they couldn't release one for the hordes of N95 owners out here, as far as I know, technology wise, the N96 doesn't really add much bar the tuner, and a stand on the back!

We hope to have informed you

No, the beeb is not unbiased, and have no such policy currently, at least not the TV arm of the beeb.

broken os

I'd rather they released a plugin for vista media centre to allow me easier access to shows i've missed, rather than me faffing on with keyboard and mouse.
