Well, here we are more than 2 weeks later and still no HD4870x2. Infact most of the rumors now are saying the last week of august, more than two months after you said "right around the corner". I think your full of shite, and cant write worth a damn either. What is this? "news" or poetry class?

Well considering 4850 was early, A hard enough launch to bounce! The 4870 isn't supposed to be out yet. Thus no cards, is not surprising. Whine about it if they are late. where oh where are the stockpiled 9800gtx+'s? Oh wait. paper launch, right. They'll be here soon I know. But then again, i bought my 4850 launch day... Hell i could've bought it the day before, or the day before that. 

Regardless, 4870 x2 will cost less then gt280... Heck it costs less to make then gt280... And yet again Suppliers will be screwed by price drops. (remember the 8800gts/gtx inventory pains when gt was dropped? )

As to Phenom... Well... Hope 45nm is cheap, and small, and they can sell em at a bit of a profit... Good news for the graphics side tho, no sli for Nahealm.. (sp?) So at least if no phenoms sell, crossfire has a good chance too :)

I think both nVidia and iNtel deserve x mas cards from AMD this year. :)

Putting aside a 4870x2, how about getting out an 4870x1? (It's not like those have really 'launched'; except in the AMD sense of the word)

Please stop re-spinning the AMD spin.... A 3.3GHz OC demo!!! Hmmm wasn't AMD demo'ing a 3.0GHz OC nearly a year and a half ago? (Remember the 4 fans on the side panel and apparently a normal heat sink?)

I know folks apparently feel the need to want AMD to succeed (or the sky will fall and big bad Intel will gouge customers); but how about a little objectivity and skepticism given AMD's recent performance against roadmap!

Perhaps a shot of reality to help wash down the kool-aid?

9800 is enough of a disappointment AMDATIDAAMIT might goblle up some market share... phenom has more catching up to do. But if it is just good enough then the scaling of CF might make AMD+CF platform a viable alternative to a nvintelsli fanboy rig...
