OSX 10.5 - Leper

I think Apple's named this one appropriately, "Leper" (not Leopard) as in "should be shunned & avoided at all costs".

Or in keeping w/ the "Kitty" names for this big pussy, Why not just name it after the cartoon cat in Warner Bros. cartoons? OSX 10.5 - "Sylvester" .... After all, paying $129. a fifth time for yet another .point release, Apple users are used to paying a "Sufferin' Sucker Tax".

The Cupertino Conspiracy

Bob is a nice name, and since it comes from the Primarch Overseer to the slave pits of the software foundaries on planet Apple, you could call it Bob o' Jobs, couldnt you? As a term of endearment and profound respect, of course. Merely an expression of devotional fraternity with the object of desire. Itself a divine manifestation of the chosen ones' longing for a utopian future in which all user interfaces will know what you were thinking before you knew yourself.

Besides which it is actually quite good value, for families, but for the fact that you cant play PC games on it. Some granted, but not enough to take it out of the cult, sorry I mean niche market it is in. That is the pity of it because the Titan Lords of Redmond will ignore all pleas of mercy until they are faced with a serious challenger... also Burnham Wood is come to Dunsinane etc.

I can't really understand why OSX which runs on Intel CPUs easily enough, has not been transmogrified for PC purposes. The market would be quite big to say the least and would then justify games makers adapting more titles for it. Maybe my feeble human brain is not adequate to the task of unravelling such a complex web of intrigue.

Pfff...

Zanny, you better stick to blowing it to the dogs since that is what you know best.

INQ, shame on you for not mentioning 64-bit support in Leopard.

Is it perhaps better

Is it perhaps better to pay for Vista Ultimate which chokes when you try to copy 16,400 files? 2^14 limit is so 90's for such an Ultimate eXPerience from Redmond in 2007.

Apple OS

Perhaps, since Apple is naming their OSes after felines, they would consider naming the next one "Pussy" or "Lyin'". Or how about "Bob"cat, after Microsoft Bob?

Wow...

With comments like that, it's no wonder that most Windows users get their PCs from places like Wal-Mart -the dumpster of the world... Don't try to place your "Bob" on us.

INQ Poll

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
