Small firms like AMD that survive by the seat of their pants can't afford the mistake of hubris. Dropping the ball even once can cause years of pain. Intel can afford a few big mistakes and still keep the money rolling in. Hopefully Dirk can make some positive changes (and maybe hire some of those cunning Israeli engineers).

Hellooo? Dirk has signed off the design of Barcelona and made the decisions that led to its delay. It was his role in the chain of command and Hector's was only to agree with him or not.
