Nice job translating this article :) I'd also like to clarify the line where you wrote: "Vista Ultimate ran on it....like XP"
What the author meant was that even vista ultimate ran as smooth and as fast as windows xp.
About the rig.. i don't understand why would anyone want to buy that. it's like ynet said: too expensive (and power-consuming regarding amd's quad core's) to be an office computer, and too lazy to be a gaming rig, which is a shame cuz 1500$ could buy me a computer so much better than their "ultimate quad gaming rig" (amd/intel platform)..
Against 8400GS and 8500GT? Gotta be joking!! Many average and even not so rich gamers are already using better GPUs than that, especially because they want to play the latest and greatest stuff... Mass Effect anyone? Thumbs down for AMD Game machine....
Pre built mid-high end gaming PC's always strike me as odd. Who buys them?

Every single one of my mates who plays PC games have built thier PC themselves.

AMD's slogan for this should be "Lazy or stupid? with too much money? get the AMD Game!"
in my country, which is a third-world farking low-economy country, mid-end gaming PCs are much cheaper than current-gen consoles.

my custom built:
E7200 ($130), 2Gb 6400 ($45), 3870 ($180), 17" LCD ($180), PSU ($45), HDD ($60), DVDRW ($40), case+etc ($35), Biostar mobo ($85), XP SP3 ($80)
totalling $880

I can gear that up for another ~$200 with 6.1 speakers and wireless gaming pheriperals, or entirely going the AMD-ATI route which costs lower. I can play old gen titles, emulators (PS2!), as well as the newest titles.

console:
PS3 ($450) or
Wii ($300) or
X360 ($350)

cheaper? No,...

because you still have to add the TV for the consoles, the cheapest one you can find is a 30" LCD TV for $700, add a 6.1 home theater set for $300, buy the extra controlers, whoa! Not to mention extra costs if you're being unlucky and getting RRoD or overheating issue. Oh and can you play Dreamcast arcade games or NES games? I guess not.

so yeah, ppl having game consoles should shut the f*ck up saying that a game console is cheap and all. Besides, what else can you function it as other than gaming and gaming and gaming, while PCs can do practically everything you want.

gg AMD. PC gaming needs innovative moves like this.
To the person who commented that this is a rip off.

Please let me know whether those video games systems are any good for
word processing
video editing
photochopping
[portable usage as in laptop]
[user servicable as in a desktop]
and the rest that go along with it.

pcs are productivity based. games are a bonus. simple as that
"The new machines are supposed to fall within the $600-$1500 price range, which AMD is convinced will make its machines an attractive option to serious gamers and multimedia fanatics."

Ha! $600 to $1,500 for a "gaming rig" from AMD, thanks but no thanks. I'd rather spend my money on real gaming systems.

Wii = $250
PS3 = $400
360 = $300
---------------
$900
As far as I know Tech Data is a multinational distribution company (one of the biggest) in the tech sector, so saying it's "Israeli" 'cos the local subsidiary sent off a PC to an Israeli news site is a bit like saying Dell is Korean it's subsidiary sent off a PC to a local (Korean) news site.

other than that, my hebrew sucks, but if what I see in those graphs is the 780G platform running games like Crysis - then AMD Game is doomed right from the get go...

AMD needs to learn what a Game PC is, thoughs relults are pathetic. My 2 1/2 year old gaming PC smokes that thing hands down.
What part of it was made in Israel?

Indeed, it is hard to find fault with any part of the article.
