They need the reverse approach

Rather than pushing the idea that a downloader is somehow a lower form of life they ought to be more realistic.

They should have some poor lantern-jawed IT wizz forever getting hassled by office colleagues for the latest movie, game, etc. and them never returning the favours or thinking of it come promotion time.

Strapline could be "Your freeloading fellow workers are NOT your friends."

Would do more to reduce DVD copies in the office than this ad . . .

Ads??

They dont seem to get it... If you use bittorrent to get your tv shows you never see any ads.

Advert? What advert?

The best thing about "borrowing" programmes, movies and all sorts from the illegal internet sites is that there are no adverts. Those ever benevolent pirate folk always kindly filter out all the silly ads and trailers.

It may well be that the target audience of this advert could be spared the indignity of a 5 min break every 10 mins.

Still, it is a catchy tune.

Might be time to call some of the people that made Blade Runner

Isn't Blade Runner supposed to be one of the cheapest well made scifi movies ever? Maybe Hollywood needs to give them a ring. Because as long as the movies are DRM protected, people are either going to pirate them or want to back them up.

And would it really be so bad for Hollywood(don't know aquat about other countries versions of it) to go belly-up? I say we wait and see what develops after Hollywood is destroyed.

We might like the result of a Hollywoodless world.

UK entertainment industry

I'll Do Anything... (to get into showbiz, even putting my childish self into the hands of BBC homosexuals)
Big Brother... ("focking paki")
Celebrity Big Brother (George 'the cat' Galloway)
Pets Win Prizes
Phone scams
Chris Tarrant

Maybe the UK Entertainment industry needs to be destroyed.

Kinda stupid...

...as the avid downloader wouldn't necessary be watching regular television.

While I’m on this subject, it pissus me off that I have to put up with that sh*t Anti piracy advert every time I play a DVD – doesn’t it make you want to pirate just so you wouldn’t have to put up with this annoying crap.

So you know we are fed up of bending over and taking it so come up with a new strategy that doesn’t penalise the honest consumer jerks!

INQ Poll

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
