I was just wondering.

Have ye told the birds this yet.

They never seem to learn. All the food scares we've had happen mainly because of improper un-natural farming methods.
It's a simple fact that if you're keeping animals on a large scale, then you won't be able to notice if individual ones get ill.
Of course, because of the factory-farming methods, even if you do keep your animals well - you may have purchased one that's ill, or they could become infected through any of the usual ways diseases get spread.

It just shows the level of incompetence when they cull a whole bunch of animals - "just in case" they are sick.....if you can't check up on them individually then you should realise that farm's too big, or - it needs more workers.

The world's a more pleasant place when the farms aren't all concentrated and the animals are at least free-range - which also helps them stay healthier.

What do they expect, keeping them in cages and small spaces. Doesn't the smell ever indicate that just maybe, they're being set up to fall sick. 
I'm a vegetarian anyway, I refuse to join in with the insanity and cruelty.
