The author is generalizing all gamers as good for nothing dumb people, which is very false portrayal. I don't know from which hollywood movie you got the talking points but, what you say makes no sense. We gamers don't miss work or school. I know a lot of people who own consoles or PC for gaming who only play when they are totally free from work. I think you saw too much of South Park WoW episode.

Gaystations etc. are a part of the fabric now, whether you like them or not . . . . . As for destroying PC gaming? I thought PC gamers did a good enough job of that themselves. Expensive and unnecessary hardware upgrades (perpetuated by geeks chasing the hardware dragon so they could wave their e-penises around), and of course rampant piracy via bittorent is the sole reason why plastic anti-piracy dongles like the 360 and PS3 exist in the first place.
