just run through component and it IS a hd tv its probably more worth the name than most LCD's and quit crying.

Even thought, a short answer to your predicament, HDMI cannot be output through an 4:3 TV you should research a little bit before buying, I did know this 4 years ago, that's why a bought a 32" LCD TV for 690$ in December of 2006
