morality matters?

Now, in addition to the asynchronous trade deals the US has with China, we have the number one processor maker in the world pouring cash on top of China.

Does China deserve it? The company blatantly suppresses its people and denies them the freedom of public dissent.

But, oh, wow, they sure are industrializing and shipping product! Let's give them the Olympic games! Let's give them stacks of cash and ask for nothing but tainted food and lead-laced toys in return!

Maybe... maybe the US is felating China because they are what we (I'm an American) aspire to be. Maybe the governments admires the way China keeps the jackboots at the throats of their people.

Bitter? Just a little.
