Brin should not had said bad things about Russia before

Putin is well known for not forgetting bad things spoken about him, e.g. as it was with Saakashvili.
Sergey Brin used to say that Russia is Nigeria with snow, ruled by a gang of crazy cowboys.
What google, being a NSA subsidiary any way, expects now?

Heard phrase like this before ?

“this acquisition will enable us to significantly improve opportunities for Russian users, advertisers and publishers as well as the entire industry".

Google, sounding more like Microsoft every day.
