cuil is so cruel

Went to the site when it dubbed, black background....so teenagers style. They boost more indexes than Google, however, searching for an Intel part I needed would return 3 results on Google, but Cuil returned none.

In result, I found no reason to use Cuil over Google. Just another hype search engine.

Poor choice.

Lousy name, saying "I cuiled something" just isn't rolling off the tongue in any language whatsoever.

CUIL--a new contender

I was fair to google when they started, I will be fair to Cuil, I see the company surpassing google very quickly.

Privacy

Well their Privacy statement seems better than Goog's... Although there is still some room for 'intrepretation'

Shipment of fail has arrived

For an ex google employee they didn't learn much did they... Perhaps they were fired because they had crap ideas (such as cuil).

Privacy even fail

It was so bad yesterday, their ink to their much toted privacy statement on their home page was broken. If you can't serve a static web page, your site is seriously mismanaged.

hello world

I tried searching for hello world after reading your first article and recieved their: "No items matched you search description" page... So much for google killer.

Thats probably why those engineers are working there anymore.

The About section was a laugh

Over half the time I tried to have a look it would say the pages did not exist, refresh and maybe after 3 attempts it would appear, results I also expected to be at the top were not, I can see some of the idea's are ok but I'll stick to google and put up with the adverts

To be fair.......

...there IS much entertainment to be had from Cuil.

Not in terms of high-quality search results, of course, but more from the utterly ridiculous combinations of pictures next to them, out of date information and generally dreadful choice of page layout that takes a whole screen to show very little.

Apparently, according to their high quality indexing, my name links to the front page of The Times online, a picture of a tree and a factory in Germany. Are they trying to tell me something?

Ho hum. I'm obviously easily pleased......

Guess it's working now.

I have to say I'm impressed. Nice looking front end and fast.

I won´t change

Yet another search engine?
I will keep on surfing with my old one, Google powered www.treehoo.com that provides excellent search results and plants trees for most of the profit. Making it easy for me to fight global warming and climate change!

CULI

.... means "arses", so it's no big surprise it links to some porn!

And that's also why CUIL is gonna be popular over here (and possibly spanish folks as well, if the AEPROM I was given instead of a brain still works - an aeprom is an alcohol erasable PROM)

CUIL search - 'failure'

At one time a Google search for 'failure' produced a picture of G. Bush at the top of the first page. If CUIL can't get THAT right, it's worthless.
