Given their problem with HEAT related failure, this move is i think a must, Huahahahaha.....

But seriusly. This move if played correctly, could help NV in 2 front:

1. Erradicate problem with the current problematic chip.

2. Saving R&D cost especially for yield AND thermal analysis for it's new line of chips. Especially for their lower node litho.

Perhaps it is needed for their new x86 compatible CPU.

I think NVIDIA has just thrown a smoke grenade to distract us from the real trouble they have.
I believe AMD is an investor in Transmeta.
