Some years ago there was a company that developed a silicon stamp, that was used to stamp silicon circuits onto a variety of surfaces. I think they were aiming for Pentium 2 or 3 performance. I think it was much less than a micron (which is suitable for such large pixels).

Such a system could be cut and used to stamp polymers onto surfaces (even curved).
