shrill, indignant voices

Yes, our "shrill, indignant voices" may fall on deaf ears but we'll keep on trying until sanity prevails.

Just back from the Bludgeon's over in Bovverton

I seen the Daleks say: "CRASBO Boozer Yob Located... EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!
Rock the CRASBO!
Rock the CRASBO!"
We're just alcopooped in pan-demonic poorportions!
"No, No, No!" I says, "Don't try to make me go to Amy Winehouse! I'll go take a Strongbow to a Stella, two-strikes-and-you're-out, no redbull! Super-strength shots with the Terrys? No more for me, Auntie, I'm flying the train!"

Let's hope...

...that Gary Coleman doesn't go to the UK looking to buy a pack of ciggies and some booze.

Idiot technology

More, wonderful idiot technology.

Why ask your staff not to serve alcohol to young people who appear to be under 18, whatever their ID indicates? No, it's better to invest in expensive, unproven technology instead.

I wish they'd go a bit further though, by producing a system which can calculate whether someone looks a bit fat or not. Install the systems in the nations sweetshops, so that when a fat child attempts to buy sweets, the system can detect if the fat child appears to be fat, and advise the shop-assistant that the fat child attempting to buy sweets is in fact, a fat child.

In either case, I feel a national database of useless data would be appropriate.

Do you think the move was justified?
