Here's a better idea:

Offer a program to everyone who was burned by the ARM Mortgages where their credit score will be reset to whatever it was prior to taking the mortgage, and wipe the foreclosure from their credit records. Then, work with them to create a reasonable and affordable payment plan for these people to pay back any debt they have left from the process.

Ya know, help the people burned by the greedy companies and not the greedy companies themselves.

Leave the greedy companies to hang in the wind.
