Well Sam,
the Omnia might have all those great features (some might bode well for the iPhone, too), nevertheless, you mentioned the major drawback yourself: Windows Mobile
Nobody likes it, nobody wants it (except you, maybe).
5MPix camera? Yea... nice... really necessary, though - in a phone, I mean?
Built in GPS receiver? Wait... doesn't have...
Doesn't work with iTunes.
Yes, I'd like a not SIM-locked iPhone (dual SIM would be even better) and teathering my MacBook to the 3G network. Until then, the iPhone's not for me. The Omnia neither, though.
To Lindsay.
Perhaps, just perhaps, iPhone Owner is not experiencing the dropped calls issue? It affected a "minority" of iPhone users, not majority. Basic probablilty suggests that iPhone Owner is not in this group of users.
Apple fanboys love locked 2 mp iphone no matter what. But unlocked 16 gb Samsung Omnia from Orange is a much better phone, where you can make it 24gb(32gb in future) with external micro sd storage. Also it has 5 mp camera and runs most windows mobile apps , with sat nav, 3g and wi-fi. It is not a locked ipod like the iphone, but still can play mp3 & mp4 , internet , open ms office files and email. Three cheers to Samsung for beating Apple and its locked culture. Hope the technical superiority reflects in the sales as well.
I saw a masturbation trainer on a cracked iPhone the other day...

I haven't bought an iPhone yet... I decided to spend the money on condoms... cause I can get some... Unlike the fruit loving drones...

Your sad comments on the availability of the new model of iPhone belies your complete ignorance of the most attractive feature of the iPhone. 3G call drop, hairline cracks, Flash, etc. these are so minor it makes me laugh reading your post. I have 36 apps on my iPhone now. most are free. Some I rarely use, but those I do use, they are absolutely fantastic. Is my enhanced happiness worth the extra few dollars I pay above a standard phone? Hell Yeah.

Happy iPhone user.

All iPhones are bad. They must be!

Not being able to maintain calls and falling apart are definitely insignificant issues.
