the P4 EE did very well even though it had ridiculous power requirements. AMD get a clue and put something like that out while you are pushing for 45nm completion. I want an X4 2.8GHz, I dont care what the Wattage! in fact, make it double wattage and bump it up to 3.4GHz.
Actually since they showed the 45nm tech off last year and showed a sample chip this year its not hard to believe they will have it up and running.... The hardest part is already done....but as it is not just a process shrink there are potential problems as with all new cpu designs...
