When they fix the 100% CPU usage bug then maybe I will go to FF3. Supposedly the latest V2 update fixes the issue, but seeing as how it still happens to me I am reluctant to believe their claims that it is fixed in V3.

It is a major bug suffered by many users for years now. Somehow though I still have no remorse over abandoning the Vole-browser.
I downloaded beta 2 the other day, and its not bad. It actually auto updated to beta 3 this morning. CPU usage is down, but initial load time is up. Beta 3 changed the appearance somewhat, it looks a bit more like IE7 now. All in all, no complaints.
I've been using Firefox portable as it's a stand alone application and this FIrefox 3 Beta doesn't affect it in anyway...well not yet that I've seen!

It means you can still fall back on the old safe version and still play with version 3 Beta.....

I have Firefox 2 and 3 beta 3 both installed. installing Firefox 3beta3 has no effect whatsoever on previous installations.
