John, Thats exactly the problem I'M having. Spent a heap of my money on recording equipment and programs, not to mention the time involved in actually writing the material involving othe musicians in the project then naming the finalised music. Then downloading MY recordings onto my SONY walkman "Unknown Artist"??? Fk. Furthermore, MY recordings, done on Fostex Multi track cassette recorder,subsequently Mp3'd, undertaken 6 years ago would not play unless I renewed a licence with Microsoft. Fk.
Time to look for alternatives, move away from the Huge corporations that frequently rudely ask me while I'm in the middle of a creation If I want to uprade now or in 58 seconds. I too am normally of Buddhist leaning and feel murderous. Fk

All right, I'm a guitarist/pianist/vocalist/whatever and I just finished my demo CD, right? So, my Itunes burner is broken so I use me old trusty Media Player, and what does it do? Yeah it changes all the F***ing song title's to some A**hole's or other's songs, completely disregards the fact that I wrote my OWN name in the 'artist' box, now my CD's say Ripple FX on them, tell me, who's to blame for this one?! I'm normally a very peaceful Buddhist, but I want to tear somebody's trachea out of their throat.

Its amazing how all these little inconviences just "seem to happen". My gf shoots her own porn & our digital camera shoots videos in the mac format. So far the only way to convert it is to record it on a set-top dvd recorder then illegally rip the dvd then illegally reencode our material then save it to a format folks can use, Then WMP 10/11 refuses to play it. No problems with the media player 6.4 that came out at the turn of the century. So all this media usage rights is causing even ligitimate users to turn into criminals just to be able to use their own content that they made! What a shame. Apple is no saint either with their propriatary formats that only work with apple hardware! Also I DARE u to spam me!
