intel gaining momentum

for a few years intel took a back seat to AMD, I jumped on the AMD train and rode it till its engine died (K8) and blew up, now im stuck stranded in the middle of nowhere. Waiting for AMD to install the new engine (Phenom) and after the long wait im not even sold on the new engine, initial benchmarks seem weak at best with probably 20% improvment in cryisis, and with that INTEL have unleashed total beasts, i mean 12MB cache in a desktop CPU. Excessive... yes, fast probably, INTEL have released the brakes at the right time and are going full throttle, they may have to stop to pick me up on the way. Phenom 9700 is released in 6 days for me, I have been promised 1 of the 6 chips that my supplier is getting, and luckily they are chep so if I dont like it. im booking a ticket on the intel express bullet train and I wont be booking a return ticket (to amd land) the core2 is already impressive, so if the 45nm is an improvment then it will just kick total butt and I think its time to spend the money on a new PC.
