Already on sale

The innov8 or i8510 is already on sale at e2save( 8 & 16gb versions)and mobiles.co.uk both part of the carphone empire and also available on ebay. Most of the reviews talk about it's excellent camera with an very good sensor sensor. Most people love to take pictures but its difficult to take music player, camera , laptop and mobile . This is where this phone builds up on the n95 success and beats nokia n96. It does not have dvb-h tv like n96 which is useless in uk at the moment. It also has Symbian S60 version 3 feature pack 2 which the sony ericsson and LG 8 megapixel phones lack. Samsung has really beaten Nokia by i8510 and locked Apple iphone and Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 by its unlocked & 5mp Windows mobile Omnia phone.

MP nonsense

Its about time you started educating people that more megapixels does not equal better photographs! In fact, the opposite is true, given the tiny sensors used in mobile phones, we are well past the point where more pixels improves image quality. The pixels have become too small, which dramatically reduces sensitivity and increases noise. Yes, you have more pixels, but you have even far more pixels that are completely the wrong color :)

This page explains it very well:

You dont want more pixels, more than anything, you want *larger sensors* (in mm²) and then better optics. Both of which are difficult in mobile phones.
