Not only is the news that millions of boards each month will ship with embedded Linux great but this is something I and other people I know realllllllly could use.

Of course, Microsoft showed with the EEE and OLPC that it wont lie down and die quietly so I hope ASUS is prepared for lots of pressure.

Weve been waiting for hardware makers to show some Linux loving and the video card companies are working on it and ASUS has really been the the best consumer friend weve had.
The EEE was a great start and this is going to be even better.
This is terribly Important idea that will start user down path of linux Professional User. hur ray.

N.B. ed. ADDS Hur ray you do yourself, its X RAY that is Born Linux.

I used to use live cd puppy linux to browse the web until I went wireless but just couldn't get it to work with the WiFi. Would these boards need a lan connection to the web or would WiFi only work on ASUS's WiFi enabled mobo's?
...help me out with this. If Linux loads from ROM/PROM/EEPROM/ROM the SpaceKnight, etc. and you happen to have a hard drive of some kind in the machine, would you actually be able to install other Linux software for use with the machine to the hard drive, or is there no way to make the embedded OS cognizant of it after a reboot?
Never heard of this before after my last asus mb experience i said i won`t buy theyr mobos again but no FINALLY after all these ages they actually make a feature that is really useful.GOOD WORK ASUS

It's on P5E Delux/Wifi version only. Not the P5E Deluxe.
