Charlie, when wil you realize that the cash cow is not the current product. And it's not in the high-end. (Except the Quadro cards.)

The last generation mid-range is where most of the OEM buys their stuff. And this is what matters. Even most gamers won't buy anything expensive.

Most of the mid range G92 based chips have an very robust performance. And with a tiny drop in performance you may even play the boring from Crytek. Crysis is a "game" in the same way any engine demo from id Software is a "game".

And when is it NVIDIA's fault that some kind og OEM goes bust? It's a free market, where every company takes som risks.
They (nvidia) realised that no one in their right mind would pay $270 for the 9800GTX when it gets so badly embarrassed by the ATI 4850.

Then to pretend its a cost saving from a die shrink makes me think of two things:

1)Q: Since when did Nvidia what to save consumers money and pass on cost savings on to the market?
A: Errm ummm, Never..

2)Q: Are they are so arrogant as to believe the buying public is dumb enough to believe that crap?
A:Yes, their arrogance knows no bounds even when they are caught red handed.

They really are a bunch of baffoons who constantly utter nothing technical.
These Nvidia guys have been scamming the business world for a couple of years now. Most of us in Silicon Valley have known that, even though this was covered up by some impressive products. Their arrogance has led to major senior departures, as well as severe credibility with OEMs and PC/Notebook makers.

They have used up their 9 lives, and then some. Just a matter of time before the grim reaper comes a callin... they are not immune because lots of high school fanbois talk about how "Nvidia owns".
Is the partner in financial trouble XFX?

So intel kill amd then amd beat up nvidia?

...

What a mess lol...
This is *twice* now that you've stated that one of NV's partners is near or at bankruptcy without naming who it is!!! We must know!!! Who is it?!?
"Nvidia then realised it was going to get its teeth kicked in by the 4850"

Too friggin' funny.
