What?

that was the same reaction i had to that statement......

"What!?!?"

what I understand is that there won't be a need for a set-top-box but the set-top-box won't be able to function as a DVR.

I think I got it wrong, some clarification please..

Estimates from September?

Let me get this straight. You run an article with Microsoft's own personal right up to date end of year sales numbers (17.7 million shipped) and quote Wii and PS3 figures that are mere estimates from September, fully 3-4 months older than the numbers Microsoft is quoting for comparison?

Major analysis there guys. How about you only quote figures that are contemporaneous, in other words use the year end numbers from Nintendo and Sony as well.

It might be nice if you also took a look at the Xbox numbers with something other than the apparent blinkers you used. If you did you'd have noticed that Xbox360 sales/shipments in 2007 were more or less 20% down from 2006.

Since when was a game console with declining unit sales considered to be a market leader?

"...rather than having to use an additional set-top box.

Unfortunately, BT has confirmed the new set-top box for Xbox 360 won't allow you to view or record live television."

Do you think the move was justified?
