A cop pulled over a car driving on the street to see what it was doing, then continued on with business as usual. Other than the fact that there happened to be a google logo on the vehicle, I don't see what makes this so newsworthy.
If I didn't know better I'd say it was one of those ruddy great guided busways they throw down a few years ago because I sincerely doubt the police in bradford would bother chasing someone for using a mere "bus lane". Well, unless they were bored...

Crime must have been solved in the city since I was there.

Lets see, what other clichés can I get in...

Maybe they wanted to be on Google Streetview?
can't they find something better to do
"A spokesCop said that the Google car had permission to be in the area"

To whom does one apply for permission to be in Bradford?

A minor correction - I believe the car you are referring to is for Street View, not Earth. The cameras are capturing ground-level views.
typical police not to be doing any serious, difficult or real crime prevention work.

So does this mean all the pictures of Channing Way, Bradford, on google StreetView will have a jam sandwich at the back with the lights flashing? :)
