Is this the slippery slope leading to the end of Palm?

Well, as a Palm fanboy from the Palm III to Lifedrive period, I hope so.

In the days of USR ownership, Palm had no serious competitors and a dedicated fan base, but over the years with changes in corporate ownership the company has lost it's way and lost it's fan base on the way.

Over the past 4 years, Palm has haemorrhaged customers to the Microsoft platform, because of it's lack of development and support on products after release. In general PDA owners felt abandoned by Palm after they handed over their $300 for their shiny new gadget.

In the end, the last straw for me was the refusal to support WPA Enterprise on the Lifedrive, but to implement as an after-sales patch on the T|X.

As John Lydon once said "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated!"

Bye Palm, I wish I could say it was swell.
