Why would you pay $600 when you can easily get it for $500? Also if you want GTX280 on the cheap, you can even pick up the regular speed on at newegg for $460. FAR from the $600 people said in the reviews. How low will they go after NV shrinks them next month? You can pick up the GTX260 now for $329 at newegg. NV is a month away from laughing about all this. Once the (already taped out in late april/may) shrink comes in ATI is back in trouble again. No pricing power vs. Nvidia who has no debt and actually makes 850mil/yr. Nice cards AMD, but I fear for your bottom line. So does the market, your stock just hit less than $5!
What a dumb review of the GTX280 OC.

So, benchmarking a $600+ Gfx card against a $300+ Gfx card yields a 'win' for the more expensive, despite only pulling ahead on some benchies at ultra-high res by 'wow' 20%?

There is absolutely no price-performance analysis, and the whole thing reads like an nvidian marketing release, regurgitated by their lapdog.

I know it was Fuds, and not the Inq, but some bias warning before supplying us with the link might be helpful.

Keep up the great work!
HD4870 @ USD$280 range

XFX's GTX280 @ holy USD$500+ and tax

any person even with a damaged brain can immediately do simple as....

1 apple + 1 apple = 2 apples math

$280 * 2 = $560 HELLO?

any one there? hello?

ps: this is personal, i don't believe any video card nowadays worth more than USD$250
