this guy works for the "unofficial apple weblog," he is CLEARLY aware of apple's return policy as the site has covered many product refreshes. he's just doing this to get some attention to his blog and give a nice reach-around to apple at the same time.

and if they didn't honor their own policy which they have had in place for a very long time, he would have caused a stink either way.
